By accessing our website, submitting booking requests, or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lighter Travel Agency.

4. Eligibility

5.2 Service Scope

Our services include but are not limited to:

• Flight bookings and airline ticket arrangements
• Hotel and accommodation reservations
• Tour package planning and coordination
• Cruise vacation bookings
• Travel insurance arrangements
• Visa assistance and documentation support
• Custom itinerary creation
• 24/7 travel support (for active bookings)

We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding destinations, services, and pricing. However, information is subject to change without notice. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in information provided by third-party suppliers.

6. Booking Process

6.1 Booking Requests

All booking requests must be submitted through our website, email, or phone. Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of required deposits and written confirmation from our agency.

6.2 Payment Terms

Payment terms vary based on the type of booking:

• A non-refundable deposit is typically required at time of booking (amount varies by service)
• Full payment is generally due 30-60 days before travel departure date
• Last-minute bookings may require immediate full payment
• We accept major credit cards, bank transfers, and other payment methods as specified
• All prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise stated

6.3 Price Guarantee

Prices are subject to change until full payment is received and booking is confirmed. Once confirmed and paid in full, your price is guaranteed except for changes in:

• Government-imposed taxes and fees
• Airline fuel surcharges
• Currency exchange rate fluctuations (for international bookings)

6.4 Confirmation

Upon booking confirmation, you will receive documentation including itinerary details, payment receipts, and important travel information. Please review all documents carefully and notify us immediately of any discrepancies.

7. Cancellations and Modifications

7.1 Client-Initiated Cancellations

Cancellation policies vary by supplier and booking type. General terms include:

• Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email
• Deposits are typically non-refundable
• Cancellation fees increase as departure date approaches
• Some bookings may be entirely non-refundable
• Refund processing may take 4-8 weeks

Specific cancellation terms applicable to your booking will be provided at time of reservation.

7.2 Modifications

Changes to existing bookings are subject to:

• Availability of requested changes
• Supplier modification fees and penalties
• Our service fee of $50-150 per modification (depending on complexity)
• Price differences for new arrangements

Name changes are typically not permitted on airline tickets and may require cancellation and rebooking.

7.3 Supplier-Initiated Changes

Airlines, hotels, and other suppliers may change schedules, itineraries, or services. While we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of such changes, we are not liable for supplier-initiated modifications. You may be entitled to compensation directly from the supplier according to their terms and conditions.

8. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance covering:

• Trip cancellation and interruption
• Medical emergencies and evacuation
• Lost or delayed baggage
• Flight delays and missed connections

Travel insurance must be purchased shortly after initial booking to maximize coverage benefits. We can assist in arranging insurance but are not liable for claims or coverage disputes.

9. Travel Documents

You are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining valid:

• Passports with at least 6 months validity beyond return date
• Visas required for destination countries
• Health certificates and vaccination records
• Any other required travel documentation

We provide visa assistance as a courtesy service but cannot guarantee visa approval. Visa denial does not entitle you to refunds for related bookings unless covered by travel insurance.

10. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

• Providing accurate personal and passport information
• Arriving at airports and departure points with adequate time
• Complying with all laws, regulations, and customs of visited countries
• Maintaining appropriate travel insurance
• Checking in for flights and confirming bookings as required
• Safeguarding personal belongings and valuables
• Notifying us immediately of any issues during travel

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 General Disclaimer

Lighter Travel Agency acts solely as an intermediary and is not liable for:

• Acts or omissions of airlines, hotels, tour operators, or other suppliers
• Flight delays, cancellations, or schedule changes
• Lost, damaged, or delayed baggage
• Personal injury, illness, or death during travel
• Loss or damage to personal property
• Force majeure events including natural disasters, terrorism, pandemics, or political instability

11.2 Maximum Liability

Our maximum liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the total amount paid to us for the specific booking in question, excluding supplier fees and non-recoverable costs.

11.3 Third-Party Suppliers

All services provided by third-party suppliers are subject to their terms and conditions. Claims against suppliers must be directed to them according to their policies.

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters (earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, etc.)
• Pandemics and public health emergencies
• Acts of terrorism or war
• Government actions or travel restrictions
• Labor disputes and strikes
• Technological failures

13. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Lighter Travel Agency or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Your violation of any rights of third parties
• Your use of our services
• Your provision of false or misleading information

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any specific booking agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lighter Travel Agency regarding our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

19. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative.

20. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
